The Builder/Superintendent directs and oversees the overall operation of the communities within their region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Experience: Minimum of one-year residential construction experience is preferred, and on-the-job training provided.

About the job:

This is a full-time position as Land Development Coordinator at Grant & Co. located in Collierville, TN. This role involves a routine field presence along with responsibilities within the office to adequately support field operations. We are looking to fill this role with a self-motivated individual who works with a sense of urgency, pride, and great organizational skills. The Grant Land Development Coordinator will be working with site contractors, professional engineering & planning consultants, and various municipalities during the planning stages of projects through the completion of the warranty periods. 

The Grant & Co Land Development team has produced over 580 single-family lots along with delivering multiple apartment sites to our multi-family team since the start of 2022. We are currently working on multiple mixed-use developments that involve over 900 apartment units, 180 townhomes, and various commercial/retail opportunities, along with 231 single-family lots in Grant & Co residential communities. 

Education And/or Experience:

• Preferred bachelor’s degree or associate degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• 2 years of experience in land planning, engineering, and/or other land development or construction experience

Objective: Coordinate daily construction activities and maintain completed inventory of homes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that houses are built to the requirements & specifications established by construction drawings, building codes, company, and clients.
  
  
• Responsible for maintaining all finished speculative homes, pre-sales, and model homes.
  
  
• Responsible for inspecting the cleanliness of all common elements within each community including streets, landscaping, and all other common areas. Take corrective measures when necessary.
  
  
• Responsible for watering all yards and landscaping during the growing season.
  
  
• Responsible for distributing plans to subcontractors as needed.
  
  
• Be responsible to know and demonstrate Grant and Co.'s core values, and maintaining a great attitude at all times, in spite of challenges or extenuating circumstances.
  
  

Education Requirements: A high school diploma is required.

Experience: No experience as a superintendent is required.

Report to: Controller

Objective: Oversee all accounts payable processes and be the primary accounting department resource for all accounts payable matters.

Responsibilities:

• Know and demonstrate Grant's core values and maintain a great attitude despite all challenges or extenuating circumstances.
• Ensure trades, suppliers, and services are paid according to the agreed upon terms.
• Be responsible for paying all property taxes prior to the deadlines. 
• Keep current all subcontractor files and insurance certificates.  
• Establish and maintain all company files related to accounts payable and trade/supplier agreements. 
• Ensure all federal filings are properly made related to accounts payable prior to the filing deadlines.

About the Job:

The Superintendent will manage all facets of field construction to include creating and maintaining contractor schedule, material orders/deliveries, resolution of field issues, problem solving and understanding of critical tasks and full adherence to project documents. The Superintendent is the daily driving force of project success.
